On 17 July 2006 a PavewayTM IV dual-mode precision guided weapon was successfully dropped from a RAF Harrier GR9 in a test over the MoD’s Aberporth Range in Wales. The test saw the weapon hit within requirements from its intended target.
Paveway IV is the next generation of the combat-proven PavewayTM family of precision guided munitions. It is jointly developed by Raython Systems Limited (RSL) in the UK and Raytheon Missile Systems in the United States to meet the UKs Precision Guided Bomb requirements and PA are responsible for the Airfoil Groups and special Containers.
This contract continues the long standing partnership and excellent working relationship that PA has with both Raytheon Systems Limited (RSL) in the UK and Raytheon Missile Systems in the United States.
